By using WikiRacing (website or iOS/Android apps), you agree to the terms below. If you disagree, please don't use the service.

Description of service

WikiRacing is a free game where you navigate between two Wikipedia articles using only internal links, solo or against other players. Article content shown in the game comes from Wikipedia and its editors, via the Wikimedia Foundation's public APIs; WikiRacing is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Wikimedia Foundation.

Accounts

The game can be used without an account. Creating an account is optional and lets you save your progress, ranking, and badges. You're responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. The username chosen at sign-up is permanent and cannot be changed afterward.

Rules of conduct

By using WikiRacing, you agree not to:

• Cheat or manipulate scores, ELO rating, or statistics through technical means (automation, direct API calls outside the game, exploiting bugs);
• Harass, threaten, or post abusive content toward other players, including through usernames, community challenges, or report comments;
• Post illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate content as a community challenge title or description;
• Attempt to access other users' accounts, data, or infrastructure without authorization.

The built-in reporting and blocking tools let you flag any content or behavior that violates these rules. An account may be suspended or deleted for clear, repeated violations.

User-generated content

The "Community Challenges" mode lets you create custom challenges (title, description, article pairs). By publishing a challenge, you confirm it doesn't violate any of the rules of conduct above, and you allow it to be shown publicly on WikiRacing and played by other users. WikiRacing reserves the right to remove any challenge or report without notice.

Intellectual property

The "WikiRacing" name, logo, and game code belong to their author. Article content shown in the game (text, titles) belongs to Wikipedia and its contributors, under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license. WikiRacing claims no ownership over it.

No warranty

WikiRacing is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The service depends on the Wikipedia API and third-party services (Supabase, advertising networks) whose availability isn't guaranteed. The game may be interrupted, changed, or suspended at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, WikiRacing shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the service.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time (see wiki-racing.com/delete-account). WikiRacing may suspend or terminate an account's access for violating these terms.

Changes

These terms may change over time; the "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law.
